Meet Our Feelings Detective® Family 🌈
Meet our seven colourful Feelings Detectives, each representing a different feeling and a different colour of the rainbow:
Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple and Pink!
Together, they help children discover the beautiful rainbow of feelings we all carry inside, understanding that every feeling is okay, and learning that while everyone has the same rainbow of feelings inside, we all experience them in our own unique way.

Big feelings can feel overwhelming, especially when you are little. That’s why we make BIG feelings child-sized, helping children learn how to Notice, Accept, Manage, and Express (NAME) their emotions the Feelings Detective® way! Having fun, learning and growing together through play
Our Six Phases of Feelings Detective® Support
Spotting The Clues
We start by getting to know the clues to our feelings and the feelings of others, building self-awareness, acceptance, and empathy.
Understanding Our Feelings
We get to know our feelings in a little more detail. Learning what brings them to the surface, and what makes them bigger or smaller.
The ‘Recipe for Friendship’
We teach children the ‘Recipe for Friendship ’: learning how to make and maintain healthy relationships and personal boundaries. This includes how to effectively communicate our thoughts, feelings, wants, needs, and wishes, particularly during conflict.
The Feelings Volcano
We are exploring our internal feelings volcano, building emotional intelligence, emotional self-regulation and impulse control. Helping children take back control.
Our Emotional Cup
We build nurturing qualities, teaching children how to look after their feelings and the feelings of others. This session builds on social skills, encouraging prosocial behaviours and kindness.
Shining Our Light
We teach children the importance of sharing their superpowers and shining their light. This is a real celebration of everything that the children have learnt and all that they are.
Learning Through Play
All of the learning is achieved through engaging activities, interactive games and play, as we learn and grow together.
Every child who completes our Feelings Detective Curriculum is awarded a Certificate to certify that they are now qualified Feelings Detectives.®
